First Robots
Your child builds a working robot from a kit, then teaches it to move, turn and react using coloured blocks of code. No typing, no prior experience: just building, testing and trying again until the robot does what they told it to.
Who this is for: Children aged 8 to 10 who like building things. No typing or coding experience needed.
Where your child is after 3 months
That is 12 lessons of 1.5 h of class, 1 lesson of 1.5 hours per week, over 3 months, across 3 months. By the end, your child will be able to:
- Build a working machine from a kit and explain what every part does
- Program it with word blocks to move, turn, wait and react
- Finish an open project of your own in the last two sessions

- Provided in class. The kit belongs to the studio and is reused each term, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to carry home. The price covers its use.

Robotics at Codemia is one ladder from 8 to 18, and this course is a rung on it. If your child is outside the 8 to 10 range, the right course is the one beside it.
